Welcome to the public beta of the new Hampshire Hub.
There are three main sections of this site, which you can access through the tabs at the top of every page:
The News & Views section contains articles and opinion, as well as factual updates, events, and other information we think might be useful.
As the name implies, this is where you can find lots of data, all of which is available to download. It’s currently grouped by ‘Theme’ (like Health, or Population), also by ‘Organisation‘ (the name of the organisation that published the data) and JSNA (which stands for ‘Joint Strategic Needs Assessment’) which generally relates to data about people’s health and wellbeing.
If you are a developer, then you may wish to have a look at the developer documentation on Swirrl’s PublishMyData site.
Area profiles are collections of charts and key statistics about different places. They are created automatically from the data, and are currently available at County, Unitary, District, Ward and Parish level within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. In future these will be expanded to include analysis and commentary. In future, we also hope to provide options, so you’ll be able ‘build your own’ area profiles.
Before You Start
This is a beta version of the site, and there’s still lots of work going on in the background, to make it as intuitive and easy-to-use as possible, and also to add lots of new data and other content, and new functionality (like maps).
Please bear in mind, this is work in progress, and you might like to take a look at the list of issues and suggestions on Github.
